Mobility

I have designed some of the embodiments of the next model of this concept: the SunVee. The SunVee would be molded out of recycled plastic, for weather protection, could seat three people, would have more cargo space, would have a more powerful motor to better keep up with traffic, and other safety features. SunVee stands for Solar Utility Neighborhood Vehicle. For more information about this concept, and a business plan for launching a company to manufacture it, you might take a look at my website devoted to this: www.sunvee.com.

As far as I am concerned the Sunmobile has proven that it is possible to make and use a small neighborhood vehicle that draws its energy directly from the sun. Of course, it could be plugged into grid power to charge the batteries if the sunshine were insufficient, but I have never done this. The vast majority of miles driven in any car are within a confined area around the home, in a situation where a small neighborhood electric vehicle could do the job.
